Anderson Hallas led the transformation of Denver Public Library’s Athmar Park Branch as part of DPL’s ambitious reinvestment in neighborhood libraries. This 9,000 SF renovation and addition reimagined the former 1971 church building into a modern community hub designed to support learning, gathering, and connection.
The project expanded flexible programming space, improved visibility and access throughout the building, and introduced upgraded technology, lighting, and building systems. A redesigned children’s area, refreshed interiors, and enhanced staff workspaces helped ensure the library continued to serve southwest Denver for generations to come.
