Anderson Hallas Architects is an award-winning Golden, Colorado based architectural firm, with a specialty in public sector work, currently recruiting several positions to join our creative, welcoming, and adventurous team. Our projects are generally in stunning locations in the western United States, and tend to be local, state, or federal clients. Opportunities for professional growth and advancement abound!

Architect – Adaptive Reuse/Preservation

We are seeking an Architect to support our preservation and adaptive reuse projects. The requirements for this position are:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (5 yr. Bachelor or Master’s Degree required)
  • Architectural registration is required with a minimum of three years of licensed and related experience
  • Professionally applied knowledge of historic preservation concepts including assessment writing
  • Working knowledge of the SOI Standards and the IEBC
  • Proficiency in relevant software (Revit, CAD, Adobe, Microsoft)
  • Stellar communication skills (verbal, graphic and written)
  • Preservation based community service/professional affiliation a plus
  • Position will require an introductory in office period and then may be a hybrid position.

Skills to Demonstrate: Clarity of communication with clients and team, desire to learn and grow in the role, creativity in problem solving, critical thinking, organization, curiosity, technical (architectural and computer) aptitude and understanding, and a terrific “can do” and team player attitude. Direct client and principal level project work will ensue.

Job Captain

We are seeking a Job Captain to support our design studio. The requirements for this position are:

  • 3 years of professional architectural experience – working towards an architectural license.
  • Professional degree in Architecture (5 yr. Bachelor or Master’s Degree required)
  • Familiar with industry standard computer software including:
    • Revit Architecture
    • Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign)
    • SketchUp
    • Lumion or other visualization software
  • Technical understanding of construction detailing requirements.
  • A variety of project experience in all phases of the architectural process from SD- CA.
  • Current affiliation and/or membership in a local, state, or national industry organization(s) is a plus.
  • Ability to facilitate coordination with consultants and their documents.
  • General curiosity in learning new approaches to design
  • Position will require an introductory in office period and then may be a hybrid position.

Skills to Demonstrate: Clarity of communication, desire to learn and grow in the role, creativity in problem solving, critical thinking, organization, curiosity, strong drawing and modeling skills, technical (architectural and computer) aptitude and understanding, and a terrific “can do” and team player attitude. Experiences will include assisting with design studies, participating in the development of contract documents, interactive design charrettes, experience with space-planning, materials and methods research, code research assistance, while working closely with and supporting Project Managers, Architects and Principals.
