Architect - Adaptive Reuse/Preservation
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Preservation Architect to support our preservation and adaptive reuse projects. The requirements for this position are:
- Professional degree in Architecture (5 yr. Bachelor or Master’s Degree required)
- Architectural licensure is required with a minimum of three years as licensed with related experience
- Professionally applied knowledge of historic preservation concepts including assessment writing
- Working knowledge of the SOI Standards and the IEBC
- Proficiency in relevant software (Revit, CAD, Adobe, Microsoft)
- Stellar communication skills (verbal, graphic and written)
- Preservation based community service/professional affiliation a plus
- Position will require an introductory in-office period and then may transition to a phased hybrid position (2 days remote), upon mutual agreement.

Clarity of communication with clients and team, desire to learn and grow in the role, creativity in problem solving, critical thinking, organization, curiosity, technical (architectural and computer) aptitude and understanding, and a terrific “can do” and team player attitude. Direct client and principal level project work will ensue.
A successful candidate will be comfortable with travel to sites across the west for assessment and project related work, performing field investigations in both indoor and outdoor environments and working at heights from aerial lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.

* Note: The salary range for this position is budgeted at $72,000-$87,000 based on demonstrated, similar experience and expertise as outlined. Candidates with greater experience and expertise may also qualify.
