Established in 1975, after the construction of the Pueblo Dam that created Lake Pueblo, the State Park conserves 12,885 acres of land. Outdated buildings and a need for improving visitor traffic flow led to the need for a new combined Visitor Center and Wildlife Service Center.
Anderson Hallas is leading the design for the new building which will assist to create efficiencies for Colorado Parks & Wildlife and lead to enhanced visitor experiences and a greener footprint for the park.
