Slipping between an open mountain meadow and an enchanted forest, Moose Lodge expresses it owners’ two personalities: playfully social and joyfully secluded. The home’s companion piece, the Moose Workshop – a colorful, stacked wood folly, adds a sip of whimsy to the site.
- Materials came from the Great Salt Lake (salvaged railroad trestles), Wyoming (snow fence), and “who knows where” (pickle barrel wood)
- Special features include the “juju wall,” a fenestrated homage to Mondrian and “Brenda” (the welder’s wife’s stair railing)
