Sharing the adventure of the Grand Canyon, with 5,000,000 visitors per year, the Plaza at the Bright Angel Trailhead offers comfort, shade, seating, restrooms and water stations to hikers and rim strollers. The design challenge required a complimentary yet distinguishable response to Mary Colter’s pinwheel cabins at Bright Angel Lodge (1932).
